Impact Analysis takes runtime information from an application’s production environment and provides this information contextually in the Codecov dashboard and in the Codecov pull request comment. Now, in any pull request, developers can see which changed files contain highly-executed code and where the most user-facing aspects of the code change lie. They can use these insights to make high-value decisions during code review more quickly.
Impact Analysis is currently supported in NodeJS, Ruby 3.1 and higher, Python 3 and higher, and in PHP projects using the Laravel framework. It’s expected that additional languages and frameworks will be supported over time.
